London to Tripoli Flight cancelled due to weather

Air Afriqiyah Flight has been cancelled

Afriqiyah Airway’s flight between London and Tripoli has been cancelled by the airline due to adverse weather conditions in UK. The flight 8U913 was scheduled to depart from the Gatwick airport at 11:30 and was planned to arrive at Tripoli at 17:00.

Although the airport was reopened by the management after the snow had been cleared up, the airport authorities have advised the passengers to check with their airline before leaving for the airports. The management has also clarified that delays and cancellations should be expected for a few days because of the severe weather conditions.

Extremely cold weather and heavy snowfall has not only affected the air travel industry but has also hit the terrestrial transportation networks. Limited train services are available and many of the roads are still blocked.
